Women know there’s something magical about finding the right little black dress. But, what happens when the little black dress finds you?
J.E. Clarkson’s eerie, 26-page short story revolves around this concept.
This was such a satisfying and intriguing read – which was no surprise since I have loved every book I’ve read by Clarkson.
Clarkson packs a lot of sensory descriptions into this brief read. Through the descriptions of the sounds and smells she includes, I felt like I was experiencing the events in the story right along with our unnamed protagonist
“I took you from her and stood transfixed as I admired your beauty.”

This is interesting, haven’t read this but seem short and can finish it. The quote is good you mentioned.
I love it when writers use imagery to make us seem that we are right in the same room with characters.
I agree with you – it really pulls you into the story!
